Children will need bingo daubers or bingo dabbers, bingo stamps, bingo markers, paint markers, do-a-dot markers or whatever else they are known as to complete the activities in this pack. These pages can be done using crayons, markers, colored, pencils, playdough balls, unifix cubes, buttons, etc.
If you choose to laminate these pages, children will need a dry-erase marker to trace the letters as well as counters, pom poms or buttons to place onto the dots to ‘color’ in the picture.
Chinese new year activity
This is where the fun begins. There are many ways preschoolers, prek, kindergarteners, and grade 1 students can complete these no-prep free worksheets.
Give your children or students one page of the worksheets to work on at a time. Make sure they know how to use the bingo daubers first; they may need a blank sheet of paper to practice with. Then they can dab the dots to make up the uppercase and lowercase letter of the alphabet on the page. At the top of the page is a picture that begins with the same letter. They could learn about the animals of the Chinese Zodiac and complete the pages in order these animals appear, working on the one for this year first.
Chinese new year activities for preschool
Once they have completed the picture with their daubers, they will then move onto tracing the uppercase and lowercase letters below. There is also a line of tracing the name of the animal or object as well. They could practice tracing these before writing them on their own on a separate piece of paper.
