We like to spend lots of time outside playing during the summer! But there are days that are rainy, or too hot, or kids are just looking for something to do. That is when I’m glad I have summer activities for preschoolers like these handy educational activities on hand to sneak in some summer learning activities for kindergartners. These low prep, re-usable, letter tracing printable features a sandcastle workshet for a fun way for kids to practice alphabet letters. Plus these are so clever – they can double as alphabet puzzles too!  Whether you use these for summer preschool or as a fun summer activities for preschoolers, your pre k child will love practicing forming their lowercase letters with this clever summer themed learning activity!

These are such super cute summer sandcastle themed Preschool Tracing Worksheets that kids will love completing!

Summer Worksheets Preschool

Now cut out each sandcastle; there are four summer sand formations to a page. Once you have all the sand castles from A to Z cut out you are ready to begin tracing!

Each sandcastle features a lowercase alphabet letter, several lines to practice tracing the lowercase letter, and a picture that starts with the featured letter.

Preschool Summer Worksheets

The reason I recommend laminating the sandcastle printables is that you can use a dry erase market to practice tracing letters, then wipe off and you are ready to practice again and again and again. This makes a wonderful preschool classroom station!

Alphabet Tracing

Another fun option with these sandcastles is you can not only practice alphabet tracing, but you can also practice letter recognition too!

Simply cut the top part of the castle off and preschoolers can practice letter recognition by matching the correct sandcastle top to the bottom AND tracing letters too!

When you are done, simply store in a large ziplock bag and pull them out when you want more practice!
