Back to School Craft for Preschool

This preschool back to school craft is a fun and simple craft activity that you can try out with your pre-k, kindergarten or first graders during their first days of school. It’s a relatively simple craft and you can get most of the things prepped if your kiddos aren’t ready to use their scissors yet.

Supplies

• Popsicle sticks
• Construction paper (blue and orange)
• Marker
• White paint
• Paint brush
• Scissor
• Glue

Gather the supplies required and get crafting!

Preschool back to school crafts

Step 1:

Grab 4 popsicle sticks. Cut off the ends to make the popsicle sticks flat. This step should be done by a grown-up, so leave out this step completely since it’s not essential to the making of the craft.

Step 2:

Paint the popsicle sticks white on one side and let it dry.

Step 3:

Grab another popsicle stick and cut it into half.

Step 4:

Glue on the two halves of the popsicle stick along the 4 popsicle sticks at the top and the bottom to create something similar to the image shown.

Step 5:

Now download the template which you can find at the end of this post. Print out the template and cut it apart to create this piece as shown.

Step 6:

Paste this white piece of the template onto the 4 popsicle sticks (on the white painted side) to form the top part of the liquid glue craft.

Step 7:

Next, cut out the tip using orange construction paper. You can just color this part in as well.

Step 8:

Glue this tip onto the craft to create the glue’s nozzle.

Step 9:

Next cut out 2 thin strips using blue construction paper. Measure the width of the crafts for approximate measurements.

Step 10:

Glue these onto the craft at the top and the bottom as shown in the picture.

Step 11:

Cut out a strip of orange paper. Again you will need to roughly measure the width of the glue craft.

Step 12:

Paste the orange strip right under the top blue strip. Write the words GLUE onto the popsicle sticks.
